What you'll actually receive

The update that lets you sleep at night

After every visit, you hear from me directly — honestly. Not a form. Not a call centre. A real message from the person who was just with your mom or dad.

Hi Sarah 😊 Just left your mom's place. We had tea on the patio and finished the crossword — she beat me to 7-across again. She's eating well and in good spirits. I did notice she mentioned her knee twice, so it might be worth raising at her next GP visit. Photos below. Next visit Thursday. 💛
An example of the kind of update families receive. Every message is real, personal, and honest.
If you live overseas

You know this feeling

The phone call that's fine, but too short. The "I'm okay, don't worry" that doesn't quite settle. Wondering whether you'd even know if something small was becoming something big.

Distance doesn't mean you care less. It just means you can't be there — and that's the hardest part.

The answer

Someone trustworthy, already there

I visit your parent regularly — real company, genuine conversation, a helping hand around the home, and an experienced eye on their wellbeing. Then I tell you the truth about how they're doing.

Not an agency. Not a rotating stranger. One qualified, known carer your family can build a relationship with.

Meet Mercia

I came home to do this

"I spent years as a carer in Australia — and I saw, over and over, how hard it was for families overseas to know their parents back home were truly okay."

So I came home to the KZN North Coast to be the person I wished those families had: someone qualified, someone local, someone who treats your mum or dad the way I'd want mine treated. I live right here on the North Coast myself — this is my community, and these are my neighbours.
